Ginny walked down to the lake and sat down on a rock near the shore. She smoothed her finger over her upper lip. Her eyes stared back at her from the lake. Brown eyes, like her Mum's. Can you see the soul in the eyes, like they say? She looked into those brown eyes and didn't see anything. She sighed as she turned away from the lake and started to watch the squid. She then looked away from the squid and put her head in her hands, closing her eyes and rubbing them, seeing the inside of her eyelids. She opened her eyes again and stared into space, thinking. She was thinking about Harry, although some still called him 'The Chosen One' or "The Boy Who Lived.' She smiled, seeing as how Harry hates those nicknames.
She had fancied, maybe even loved, Harry Potter ever since she had heard his name. She always thought that Harry was more than the Boy Who Lived or The Chosen One. She sighed in happiness as she remembered that now she was able to think and say 'Harry Potter is my boyfriend' for all the world to see since it was the truth. Now that her and Harry were going out, she seemed to be a bit more fiery and daring than usual. She was so absorbed in her thoughts about Harry that she didn't hear the footsteps coming towards her.....

It didn’t really matter that Ginny hadn’t been listening for footsteps, for Lily was rather good at not making any. She moved across the lawns, searching for those students who were disobeying the rules, more specifically James Potter. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon with no lessons or homework to worry about until the following day. There was no doubt in Lily’s mind that he would be up to something.
Lily came to the lake, slightly disappointed that she hadn’t discovered his plan yet. Paranoid much? Well that’s just how things were with Potter. He was so unpredictable sometimes that you had to stay on your toes as to not get caught up in the mayhem.
What was the point? He’d just end up getting away with it anyways! Either Remus would let him off or he would sweet talk his way out of it with one of the teachers. Lily was never able to figure out how he did it, and to be perfectly honest, it frustrated the hell out of her.
She anxiously surveyed the grounds, not seeing a single sign of Potter or any of his fan girls. “Hey?!”Lily asked, a bit more frustration in her voice than she normally would have liked. She made the appropriate adjustment to her tone as soon as she had noticed. “Sorry… its just, you haven’t seen Potter around at all have you?” Lily wasn’t quite sure that the girl had heard her. She seemed lost in her own little world, un-penetrated by the environs around her. “Ummm… excuse me?”

Ginny snapped her head around as she heard someone greet her. Her thoughts were dashed and she stopped herself from gasping as she saw a younger version of Lily Evans, who would one day be Lily Potter and have a baby who grew up to be the boy she loved, Harry Potter. "Um, sorry. Just lost in thought. And no, I haven't seen him anywhere. Why? Are you looking for him?" She asked curiously, a small smirk appearing on her face. "I'm Ginny, by the way."

Just about that time, the large oaken doors of the Hogwarts castle opened up, three terrified fangirls running out of the castle like something was on fire, which indeed it was. One of the girls, Ravenclaw by her robes, was now rolling on the ground, digging for her wand within her pockets as she screamed a charm that placed water on fire. The patch on her robes was smoulering as you rose up as the spittin' image of James strolled out onto the greenery, a large smirk on his face. "Harry Potter! You'll pay for that one, one day!!" The girl shouted in a very chalkboard sounding screech, almost what an owl sounded like when going after prey. Harry clapped his hands over his ears, cringing as the girl squealed like a stuck pig. "Why not today?!" He said, only wishing he hadn't said that. To his horror, she had sent a very powerfull version of the Flipendo spell in his direction. Harry yelled out in surprise as he was hit by it, thrown back about ten feet, straight into the dust. He stood back, about to counter the act when a very angry, bug eyed and younger version of Madam Hooch idled towards them. "Potter! Furula! Detention, the both of you in my office tomorrow night!" She said, coming up to them with two red slips of detention notes and handing them each one. The Ravenclaw with the last name Furula glared at Harry and stormed off, flinging the doors open and knocking a frightened Hufflepuff first year boy promptly on his buttocks.
Harry yelled a very nasty retort, only to be yelled back at by Madam Hooch: "I heard that Potter! Double detentions for you!" Harry sighed, muttering,"stupid fangirls," only this time he realy wished he didn't for now he had a charmed water hurling in his direction, cast by one of Furula's peppy and preppy friends. Harry shook the water from his head, looking evry much like a wet dog as he did so and he shouted at them, expecting to hear 'triple detentions!' coming from Hooch as she tromped around in the castle. Luckily, he didn't and suddenly thought that detention with Hooch wouldn't be too bad, despite the fact it was with Furula, Aimee he thought her name to be, but it wasn't important for he never kept up with the numbers that seemed to follow him, much like a tick to a dog. He couldn't understand the fact he was relatively gorgeous and more.
As the lake came with in his view, he saw Lily Evans, soon to be Lily Potter by marrying James, his father and his girlfriend Ginny. His mother's face made him hault in his tracks, simply watching her as she stood by the lake. Her face was younger than the pictures in his album, pictures he had safely in an album in his backpack, which was slung over his shoulder. He smiled slightly as he came up to them, taking off his back and tossing it under the nearest tree. He was indeed a very look-a-like if you compared him and James, but his face was fairer and his eyes were the bright shade of green, almond shaped like Lily's as well. "Hello you lot. Nice day isn't it?" He said, somewhat nervously, unable to comprehend the fact that his mother now stood before him plain as day as she had when standing in the mirror of Erised.

”There you are Potter, I’ve been…” but Lily was sadly mistaken. As she turned to see the new arrival to the lake, who she could have sworn sounded like her ‘good friend’ James she didn’t find the always cheerful and happy-go-lucky face of Mr. James Potter that she had expected too. Instead stood before her an exact replica; a ‘want-to-be’ if you will.
Great! Lily thought to herself, surveying the boy from head to foot. That’s just what I need! Its not like she didn’t already have enough problems with Black and Potter running around, but now their fan club was actually trying to replicate them?
Lily was of course jumping to conclusions. She wouldn’t put it past any one of them to do it however, but she supposed that everyone couldn’t significantly different from each other. She eyed the boy’s badge, surprised to see that he was actually a Gryffindor of her own house. Why hadn’t she seen him before?
“Have we met before?” Lily asked with a polite smile. Maybe he was a relative of Potters? It was a ridiculous theory, but Lily was still trying to grasp the idea that James had worked his way into the hearts of the male population of the student body along with the females. She hadn’t even really meant to ignore Ginny, but instead directed her greeting towards familiar boy. “I’m Lily Evans.”

"I know." Harry said, knowing that might be alittle, odd to say such a thing. So, he quickly corrected himself, his cheeks flushing because he couldn't think of a fake last name. "I mean, I know because we're from the same house and James talks constantly of you. I'm Harry Potter." He said reluctantly of course, but seeing as how he wasn't too keen at lying, he had to tell the truth. "I'm a very distant cousin of James. Three times removed on his mother's side, son of her brother's cousin, who is related to her uncle, who's married to his sister who married her own second cousin, which makes me a relative of their's I guess, five times removed I think I am on that family and..very complicated, I know, but I am a relative." Harry said, having himself greatly confused in more ways than one. Of course, it didn't take much to confuse him, but hopefully, being as bright as she was, he was sure she wouldn't have any problem figuring it out. It then dawned on him that, that particulat tounge twister would confuse the brightest girl, or boy, around. He was surprised to find that he could think that fast and make it sound as if it were true. It was complicated, for even harry himself had a hard time trying to figure out what he had just said, yet it ran clear as day throughout his mind. it was the uncle, no, the sister? Aunt? Oh it was hopeless.
