Leyla could swear that the noise intensity in the Gryffindor Common was so loud, that the other houses could probably bloody hear them! Then again, maybe it was her over sensitive ears? She couldn’t tell. All she needed to know is that she needed to get out of there. She stood, covering her delicate ears as she made her way to the portrait door, shoving it open.
She stepped into the hallway, taking notice that it wasn’t even Six O’clock yet. ‘That’s good. I’ll be able to have some alone time.’ She thought silently, making her way through the castle halls. She decided she would head for the Lake. It would be a great spot to relax. With a triumphant grin she headed down several flights of steps, finally stepping onto the School Grounds. Leyla walked into the direction of the lake, singing softly underneath her breath.
“Got an angle at my bedside
Watching over me tonight
Smiling from a photograph
And everything’s just right.”
She paused, glancing around. Seeing that no one was around she continued her walk, singing more boldly now, because she had no fear of being heard.
“Been dreaming of you before
And now its true
My heart is beating just for you
Baby I wanna know.”
“Is it love?
Is it love?
Is it why I fall everytime you call?
Is it love, really love?
When you say it's forever
Is it love?
Is it love?
That I'm breathing
When I dream of you tonight”
She walked over to a large Oak tree by the Lake, leaning against it’s gnarled figure. Her thoughts we turned to her boyfriend, Sirius. She always felt odd whenever around him. It wasn’t a bad feeling, just one she never felt before. Leyla always felt light as air whenever he was around. It made her feel that she could do anything. She closed her eyes, her song continuing to flow past her lips.
“Tell me how can I imagine
Something brighter than your eyes
No-One came this close
You made me realize”
“Is it love?
Is it love?
Is it why I fall everytime you call?
Is it love, really love?
When you say it's forever
Is it love?
Is it love?
That I'm breathing
When I dream of you tonight”
Leyla feared the future. She feared that someday she’ll lose Sirius. Of course they may end up breaking up in the future, but... She didn’t want to. She actually wanted to be with him forever, as corny as it sounded. Maybe she was thinking very silly thoughts?
“Is it always gonna be
Will you always care for me
Is all that I want
All that I need
Is it all I ever hoped for
Baby...”
Leyla opened her eyes, gazing out onto the Lake, the Sun’s last glimmer of rays hitting the Lake, making it absolutely beautiful. It was perfect.
“Is it love?
Is it love?
Is it why I fall everytime you call?
Is it love, really love?
When you say it's forever
Is it love?
Is it love?
That I'm breathing
When I dream of you tonight”
Her voice trailed off, tired from singing. With a heavy sigh she sat down, staring at the ground. She felt silly now, singing like that. Anyone could have heard, and she felt she wasn’t much of a singer, even though her Grandparent’s always told her she had a wonderful voice. She didn’t like singing often, but sometimes a song will suddenly fill into her heart, causing her to sing aloud.
Leyla was so lost in her thoughts. So lost in fact, she didn’t even hear someone approaching her.
